The UK’s best kept bass secret, Laurence Cottle is a world-class bass hero with a humble attitude but colossal musicianship and ability on the bass. A recent recruit to the EBS bass army, Laurie’s playing has been dropping jaws around the world, and most recently at the NAMM show in California as his amazing combination of jazz knowledge and technical mastery begin to be acknowledged worldwide. A heck of a nice guy and a wicked bass player in virtually any style, Dave divides his time between sessions with Carl Palmer (ELP), Paul Garrick (Squeeze, Mike & The Mechanics), Leo Green (Jools Holland),, his own groovy funk'n'rock band The Goondocks, rising star Rosalie Deighton and metal-fusion band Linear Sphere - plus teaching at London's Bass Institute. Dave has wowed crowds with his solo EBS demos at last year's Bass and Drum in Sweden and regular spots at the London Guitar Show - and recently admitted his EBS gear gives him his best on stage sound ever - bar none.
